The New York State Office of Children and Family Services provides RHYA financial resources to support services to reach, temporarily house, and whenever possible, reintegrate runaway and homeless shelter residents back into their families and communities.
Westchester's program contracting is targeted to supporting the operation of a runaway hotline and shelter.
Runaway and Homeless Youth Services
The Children’s Village operates The Sanctuary Crisis Shelter for Runaway and Homeless Youth under 18 years of age. The Sanctuary can be reached through its hotline at 1-888-997-1583. The Sanctuary and the hotline number are both staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
