County government is working for you. In fact, we probably offer more services, events and opportunities than you realize. It’s important that you know we’re here when you need us.

So take a look, and take note. Much more can be found right here online or by calling (914) 995-2900. We’re also on Facebook and Twitter, so connect with us to keep up with all the latest. We are Westchester and we’re working for you.

To see all that Westchester has, open the illustration of Westchester for a larger view. Move your mouse over the page to activate hotspots. Clicking a hotspot will take you to more information.

You may need to enable popups on your computer for the hotspots to work.

Anyone who suspects that a child is being abused or neglected should call the New York State Central Register Hotline and report his or her concerns at any time. The number to call is (800) 342-3720. If you suspect that a child is being abused, you can call anonymously to the New York State Central Register to report it. You do not need proof of abuse, but you should be able to explain why you suspect abuse.

If the state believes the case is credible it will refer the investigation to the local offices of Child Protective Services

If you are a teacher, counselor, medical professional or other professional who works with the public, you may be a Mandated Reporter and are required by law to report abuse.
